This is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for small pump motor repair and maintenance services issued by Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). The university is governed by the Tennessee Prompt Pay Act of **** which allows 45 days for payment of invoice. It is common practice to pay all legitimate charges within a thirty 30 day period from receipt of undisputed invoice. A prompt payment discount will be considered in the award process when given for 30 days, e. g. , 1% net 30.
All repair workmanship shall be warranted for a minimum of ninety days from return from MTSU. Manufacturers warranties for replacement parts shall be passed through MTSU.
An award for this bid shall be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for all items considering: ability to perform, conformity to specifications, product/service price, bid submittals, evaluation criteria, vendors qualifications, and willingness to accept a university purchase order.
The company must have been in business for three years providing commodity or service in the repair/replacement of motors/pumps industry. Corporations must be duly authorized to do business and be in good standing under the laws of the state of Tennessee. All proposers must have all licenses, permits, and certificates required by federal and state laws.
The institution may terminate the agreement for nonperformance, as determined by the institution for causes including, but not limited to: failure to provide satisfactory quality of service, failure to maintain adequate personnel, any substantial change in ownership or proprietorship of the contractor, failure to comply with the terms of the agreement, filing for bankruptcy, or making a general assignment for the benefit of its creditors.
