This is a public tender notice for the rehabilitation of Taxiway Alpha (DPW Project ****) by the City of El Paso de Robles. Sealed bids will be received until July 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The project involves pulverizing, demolishing, and removing existing pavement and taxiway edge lights, earthwork, constructing a new pavement section, installing new taxiway edge lights, and applying pavement markings. The project must be completed within 95 working days. A penalty of **** per day will be applied for delays. Bidders must comply with California Air Resources Board (CARB) regulations and provide copies of their Certificate of Reported Compliance (CRC). Bids must include bid security of at least 10% of the total bid amount. Contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. The project is to be completed within ninety-five (95) working days from the date specified in the issuance of the notice to proceed.
The contract will be awarded, if at all, to the responsible bidder that submits the lowest responsive bid.
All bidders shall be licensed under the provisions of the business and professions code to do the type of work contemplated in the project. In accordance with provisions of California Public Contract Code Section ****, city has determined that the contractor shall possess a valid class A general engineering license at the time that the bid is submitted.
The contractor shall pay to the City of El Paso de Robles the sum of five hundred dollars (****), for each and every calendar days delay in finishing the work in excess of the working day completion time.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for 10 AM June 11, 2026 at the Airport Terminal Mezzanine Lobby located at **** Wing Way, Paso Robles, CA. In addition, the contractor shall submit a site visit affidavit, as noted in these bid documents.
The engineer's estimate for this project is $3,400,****.
