The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans is soliciting bids for
steel piping materials. The bid documents are available for download on June 10, 2025. Hard copy bids are due June 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM CST. Bids will be publicly opened on June 25, 2025, at 11:30 AM CST. The Board reserves the right to modify the bid process and dates as deemed necessary. Additional documents, such as affidavits, are required. There is a prohibition on communication between bidders and board staff from the time of advertising until the final award. The contract may be awarded to a single bidder or to separate bidders. All bid pricing shall remain firm for 90 days after the bid opening date. The board reserves the right to reject any and all bids or proposals for just cause. The contract period will begin on the date the contract is signed and will cover the requirements of one year. The contractor shall be prepared to begin shipments immediately upon execution of the contract. The unit prices shall cover the requirements of the board for a period of one year. Upon the expiration of the initial contract term or any contract extension, the contractor will continue to supply the product or services under the same terms and conditions on a month-to-month basis, for a maximum of three months, until receiving a 30-day written notice of termination. The supplier shall retain title and control of all goods until they are delivered, and award of coverage has been completed. All risk of transportation and all related charges shall be the responsibility of the supplier. All products for purchase must be new, never previously used, and the current model and/or packaging. No remanufactured, demonstrator, used or irregular product will be considered for purchase. The manufacturers standard warranty will apply unless otherwise specified in the solicitation. The successful bidder will be issued a purchase order when the bid has been awarded. Prices must stand firm until the last item is shipped and delivered. The board reserves the right to evaluate bids and award items separately, grouped or an all or none basis, and to accept the bid which is in the best interest of the board, and to reject all proposals if that is in the best interest of the board. Any formal protest against the recommendation of award must be submitted in writing to the procurement director. The board has the right to audit records pertaining to the administration of this contract. The vendor is an independent contractor and will not be deemed an employee, servant, agent, partner, or joint venture of the board. The vendor will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, ancestry, age, sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, domestic partner status, marital status, physical or mental disability, or AIDS or HIV status. The vendor will require all subcontractors to comply with the requirements of this article. The law of the state of Louisiana shall govern this contract. Exclusive venue for any lawsuits or disputes arising from or related to this solicitation or an agreement negotiated pursuant thereto shall be in the civil district court for the parish of Orleans. The board reserves the right to reject any and all bids or proposals for just cause.
