Iowa State University is seeking proposals for a lecture capture system. Key requirements include integration with Canvas LMS, automated and adhoc capture, accessibility compliance (WCAG 2. 1 AA), scalability, and analytics. Responses are due August 28, 2026. Questions deadline is August 12, 2026. Award depends on security and accessibility review. A virtual presentation may be requested.
The response deadline is August 28, 2026, at 12:00 PM CT. The anticipated go-live date for the selected platform is August 13, 2027, with a requirement for the platform to be active six to nine months prior for transition, implementation, and training.
The award will be based on total cost, ability to meet required and preferred specifications, ease of use, visual appeal, data analytics, administrative tools, support and implementation quality, references, and exceptions taken to terms.
Contractors must be qualified and provide a detailed line-item quote, a higher education cloud assessment tool (HECVAT) if not already completed, and a completed voluntary product accessibility template (VPAT).
The awarded supplier will be required to provide test login credentials for the digital accessibility team to navigate and test the product before final award.
Exceptions taken to the RFP/RFQ documents may cause the proposal to be rejected at the sole discretion of the university. Failure to provide references may result in a score of 0 points for that evaluation criterion.
