The Camden County Board of Commissioners seeks proposals to replace an underground steam line at Kingsbay Navy Base. Proposals must be submitted by October 1, 2026, at 2:30 PM. Work requires furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials. Contractors must pass naval base security clearance checks. Work must comply with ASME B31. 1, AREMA, and OSHA standards. The successful proposer must furnish performance and payment bonds of 100% of the contract amount. Work completion is required no later than 90 days after material delivery.
Not later than the 30th day after submitting an accepted, approved and correct estimate along with all required documentation as per these contract documents as detailed in the above paragraph, the owner shall, after deducting previous payments made, pay to the contractor 90% of the amount of the estimate as approved by the owner.
All work shall be guaranteed by the contractor against defects resulting from the use of inferior materials, equipment or workmanship for one year from the date of final acceptance.
The contract to purchase will be awarded to the most responsible, responsive bidder whose submission, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the camden county board of commissioners, price and other factors conferred, such as quality of equipment, conformity of the specifications and warranty.
All companies submitting a proposal must be qualified companies and meet all requirements as noted in the contract documents and specifications.
Failure to perform cleanup activities may result in suspension of the work.
