This tender outlines the requirements for
HVAC chemical sampling and treatment services at various facilities on Scott AFB, IL. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, tools, chemicals, and equipment necessary for cooling tower, closed loop, and coupon rack systems water chemical sampling and treatment. The contract includes specific
testing requirements for hardness, chlorine, conductivity, pH, cooling tower scale and corrosion inhibitor, alkalinity, bacteria counts, and legionella. Detailed requirements for closed loop systems, including

The contractor must sample all closed loop systems for pH, nitrite, and propylene glycol. The contractor must maintain chemical levels within specified parameters. The contractor must minimize chemical storage on base to an as-needed basis. Empty containers must be removed within 24 hours of application. The government may inspect the contractor's performance. The contractor is responsible for keeping the work area clean and free of debris. The contractor must obtain a burning permit from the Scott AFB fire department prior to welding, burning, or cutting operations. The contractor is not required to provide service on weekends or federal holidays, except in emergency situations.
