Bids are invited for wastewater treatment residuals removal and disposal for digester 3 at the South Wastewater Treatment Plant. Bids are due by July 8, 2026, 5:00 PM CST, and will be opened on July 9, 2026, 10:00 AM. A site visit is mandatory. Bidders must submit a bid bond or certified check for 5% of the total bid amount. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The contract term is one year, with options to renew annually for two additional years. Successful vendors will be required to receive payments via ACH direct deposit.
Vendor must upload the bid document through BidNet or submit one set of bid documents sealed in an envelope by July 8, 2026, at 5:00 PM CST.
Successful vendors will be required to receive payments directly through automated clearing house (ACH) in lieu of a paper check.
The bidder shall warranty and guarantee the work, equipment and materials for a period of at least one year after date of final acceptance in writing by the owner.
Award will be based on Price, Responsibility of contractor to perform the intended work and responsiveness to the bid request, Compliance with requirements of the technical specifications, Quality of performance on previous work on similar contracts, Recent successful completion of similar projects, BPUb financial and legal responsibility evaluations, and Safety record.
Bidders must provide pertinent information concerning proposed equipment and materials and proposed construction organization, including experience record, organization, and equipment available.
If the bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bonds and insurance certificates within ten days from the date on which he is notified that his bid has been accepted, the amount of his check or bid bond shall be forfeited.
Each bidder shall visit the sites of the proposed work and fully acquaint themselves with the existing conditions. Visits to the sites shall be arranged by calling Alfredo Ruiz at 956 **** or ****.
The last day to submit questions is July 1, 2026.
Failure to submit bid security, failure to sign bid, failure to fill all fields in the bid schedule, or failure to submit required information with the sealed bid will disqualify the bid.
