This Privacy Policy explains how BidHits™ collects, uses, discloses, stores and protects personal information when you use our website, logged-in areas, email alerts, search tools, maps, API, artificial intelligence features, support and related services.

This Policy is intended for users in the United States. Because the service is operated from Brazil and may use international providers, personal information may be processed in Brazil, the United States and other countries.

By using BidHits™, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy.

Information we collect

We may collect information provided by users, such as name, company name, email, phone number, address, billing information, tax or business identifiers, payment references, support messages and information submitted through forms.

We may collect information generated by use of the service, such as keywords, filters, regions of interest, searches, viewed bids, favorites, deleted items, comments, AI interactions, API usage, preferences, access logs, IP address, device identifiers, browser, pages accessed, dates and times of use and approximate location.

We may collect or display public procurement information obtained from government portals, public websites and other public sources, including bid descriptions, agencies, deadlines, documents and related public links.

When card payment is available, BidHits™ does not store the full card number. Payment data may be processed by payment providers, and we may keep payment identifiers, tokens, invoices and billing records needed to manage the account.

BidHits™ is a professional service and does not intentionally request sensitive personal information. Users should not submit health data, Social Security numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, financial account credentials, confidential business secrets or data about third parties unless they have authority to do so.

How we use information

We use personal information to create and manage accounts, provide access to the service, process subscriptions and payments, send bid alerts, run searches, filters, favorites, comments, maps, API and other contracted features.

We also use information to personalize results, improve the relevance of opportunities, operate artificial intelligence features, answer questions, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, protect security, enforce our Terms of Use, comply with legal obligations and defend our rights.

We may send operational emails related to the service, such as bid alerts, account notices, support, billing, renewal, security and important changes.

We may send commercial emails about BidHits™, updates, offers and related content. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails through the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting bidhits@bidhits.com. Operational messages may still be sent when needed to provide the service.

Artificial intelligence

BidHits™ may use artificial intelligence to improve searches, suggest opportunities, organize information, help read bid documents and answer user questions about public procurement processes.

AI interactions may be processed by our systems or by technology providers hired to support the service.

AI outputs are for informational and auxiliary purposes only. Users must review bid notices, official portals and original documents before making any business, legal, technical or financial decision.

Users should not submit sensitive information, confidential information, personal information about third parties without authorization, or any content they do not want processed for providing and improving the service.

How we disclose information

BidHits™ does not sell personal information for money.

We may disclose information to providers needed to operate the service, such as hosting, infrastructure, security, email delivery, payment processing, customer support, analytics, advertising, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, legal support and artificial intelligence tools.

These providers may process information only as needed to provide services to us, under applicable contracts and confidentiality or security obligations.

We may disclose information when required by law, court order or competent authority, or when needed to protect rights, investigate fraud, prevent abuse, collect amounts owed, enforce the Terms of Use or protect the security of users and the service.

The service may link to government portals, bid pages and third-party websites. Those websites have their own privacy practices and are not controlled by BidHits™.

Cookies, analytics, advertising and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep users logged in, remember preferences, protect accounts, measure audience, understand product usage, improve features and, when applicable, show or measure advertising.

We may use tools such as Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and similar technologies for analytics, performance, heatmaps, statistics, advertising measurement and product improvement.

These tools may process data such as IP address, identifiers, pages accessed, events, browser, device and approximate location.

You can set your browser to block cookies, but some features may not work correctly.

Our website currently does not respond to traditional browser Do Not Track signals. Where required by applicable law and supported by our systems, we will honor recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, for the browser or device used to access the service.

You may also contact bidhits@bidhits.com to request opt-out from sale, sharing or targeted advertising where such rights apply.

Your privacy choices and rights

Retention

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, manage accounts, send alerts, process payments, provide support, keep business records, comply with law, prevent fraud, protect security and defend rights.

After account closure or the end of the relevant purpose, information may be deleted, anonymized or retained when retention is permitted or required by law, contract, accounting, tax, audit, security, dispute or legitimate business needs.

Residual copies may remain in backups for a limited period until they are replaced or securely deleted.

Children

BidHits™ is intended for professionals, companies and people interested in public procurement opportunities. It is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we collected such information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

Measures may include HTTPS, access controls, monitoring, backups and other safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the risks involved.

No system is completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting passwords, API keys, devices and email accounts, and for avoiding unauthorized sharing of credentials.

If a security incident affects personal information, we will evaluate the event and provide notices when required by applicable law.
