The Cattaraugus County requires a continuous food commodity service at the county center building. The successful proposer will operate a snack bar from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday (or other mutually agreed upon hours), except days the building is closed. The vendor will supply all equipment, operate and maintain it, and provide a price sheet for regular items. The vendor will pay the county **** per quarter, with checks due by the 15th of the month following the quarter. A 1. 5% penalty applies to late payments. The contract will be awarded to the most responsible proposer that meets all specifications. The county reserves the right to investigate the proposer's ability to perform the work. The contract period is two years, with an option for two one-year extensions. The successful proposer must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. A performance bond of $500 will be required. Proposals not prepared and submitted in accordance with the provisions will be considered informal. A list of at least three references is required. The vendor agrees to repair any damage to county property caused by operation, installation, or removal of equipment within five working days of notification. Failure to meet delivery or completion schedules may result in legal action. No taxes are to be billed to the county, except those specifically levied by federal or state law. The vendor shall not assign, transfer, sublet, or otherwise dispose of the contract without prior written consent. The county may terminate the contract upon 30 days' written notice, and the vendor may terminate upon 60 days' written notice. The vendor must provide a noncollusive bidding certification.
