The City of Spartanburg is seeking proposals for the Duncan Park perimeter trail construction. This includes building a 300 LF elevated wood boardwalk and an 8,200 LF asphalt trail around the park lake. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 16, 2026. Proposals are due by June 30, 2026, at 3 PM. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. General contractors must have a valid bridge license. Vendors will need to obtain a City of Spartanburg business license.

Payments will be made to the contractor for the actual quantities of work performed or materials furnished in accordance with the plans and specifications.
The contractor shall promptly remedy any defects in the work and pay for any damage to other work resulting there from which shall appear within a period of 12 months from the date of final acceptance of the work.
The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
The general contractor must have a valid bridge license. Bidders must submit a statement of qualifications upon request.
Liquidated damages of **** per day will be assessed for each consecutive calendar day the project remains incomplete beyond the 90-day completion time.

Bid results will be posted on the City of Spartanburg website for a seven-day protest period prior to awarding of the contract.
The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any informality in the qualifications process. Failure to execute the agreement and bond within ten days may constitute a default.
