The work here includes salvage existing granite stairs, provide selective granite crack repair and reset granite as indicated on drawings. All sites where concrete is recommended to be replaced, the design team has considered durable replacement options related to concrete mix, reinforcing and rail embedment. High performance concrete mix with additives, sealers, non- corrosive reinforcement and proper design for drainage will be used to increase the lifespan compared to standard concrete stairs using typical mix.
