High school diploma or equivalent, and three to five years of related mechanical and maintenance experience, preferably in public works operations. Must possess valid Massachusetts Class A or B Commercial Driver License or equivalent, CDL with air brake certification, ASE light duty brake certification, Massachusetts hydraulic and hoisters licenses 1c, 2a. A willingness to work towards achieving ASE mechanics certification for heavy and/or light duty vehicles is preferred. Possession of automotive hand tools is required.

A candidate for this position should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with apprentice level of knowledge and experience in the operation of heavy trucks and heavy equipment, and construction work three to five (3-5) years minimum experience in construction trades including the operation of heavy trucks and equipment or an equivalent combination of education or experience.
