Winnebago County is seeking proposals for two ferromagnetic detection systems for the Sheriff's Office. Proposals are due by May 26, 2026, at 10:00 AM CST. The scope of work includes supply, delivery, installation, configuration, calibration, training, and warranty support for the systems. Vendors must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Communication regarding the RFP must go through the designated contact person. Proposals received after the deadline will be rejected. The county reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.

The proposal should provide that all payments are subject to local governmental prompt payment act.
The scope of work includes providing warranty support, troubleshooting procedures, and service contact information.
The contract will be awarded to the proposer deemed to provide the services which are in the best interest of the county, considering value received for monies expended, reputation, and past performance.
The proposer must be qualified and interested, authorized to do business in the state of Illinois, and able to produce a certificate of good standing with the state of Illinois upon request.
The county may terminate based on the proposer's breach or default. If the county terminates due to the proposer's breach or default, the county shall have the right to purchase items or services elsewhere and to charge the proposer any additional cost incurred.
Firms wishing to protest any RFP and/or awards shall notify the director of purchasing in writing within five (5) calendar days after the RFP due date/opening.
Unauthorized contact with other county offices or employees is strictly forbidden and may result in disqualification of responders proposal. Failure to obtain all licenses, certificates and other authorizations required may result in disqualification.
