The City of Fort Lauderdale is seeking proposals for an Open Spaces Planner to manage, coordinate, and staff the activation of open space areas. The contract term is one year with four one-year extension options. The estimated annual budget is $122,800. The contractor will be responsible for developing and promoting events, seeking sponsorships, coordinating third-party events, and managing digital platforms. Proposals are due by June 2, 2026. No pre-proposal conference or site visit will be held. All proposals must be submitted electronically via the City's online strategic sourcing platform.
The initial contract term shall commence upon final execution of the contract by the City and shall expire one 1 year from that date. Proposals will be evaluated based on weighted criteria including understanding of the City's needs and approach to the scope of work (20%), experience, qualifications, past performance, and references (30%), suitability of the firm and proposed activities (20%), and total project cost (30%). The city uses a mathematical formula to determine the scoring for each individual responsive and responsible firm based on the weighted criteria stated herein.
Proposers shall be in the business of event production and must possess sufficient financial support, equipment, and organization. Key staff must have relevant experience in event production and project management.
