The period of performance (POP) shall be 90 calendar days for the complete removal, replacement, and sample shipping for the base bid buildings (buildings ****, ****, and ****). If bid option 001 (building 930) is awarded, the total POP shall be increased to 120 calendar days. The contractor must be a licensed commercial fire protection contractor with a minimum of three years of documented experience performing inspection, testing, and maintenance of water-based fire protection systems in accordance with NFPA 25. Onsite technicians must possess relevant industry qualifications, such as NICET Level II certification or equivalent journeyman-level experience. The testing laboratory must be recognized, independent, and qualified.

The contractor shall field verify all conditions, including zone layouts, sprinkler types, and quantities, prior to bidding.

The scope requires the extraction of a representative sample of sprinklers from each system type and each individual system zone within the building. In accordance with NFPA 25, the contractor must pull a minimum of four sprinklers or 1% of the total number of sprinklers, whichever is greater, per zone. Selected sample heads must be a random pull from across the designated zone and shall not be located adjacent to one another.
