This solicitation is open to potential bidders who currently hold prequalification status for right of way property management services issued by GDOT and who hold a current prequalification certificate. A bid response received by any firm not currently listed on GDOT's prequalification listing will not be considered for award for this solicitation.

All work on the project must be completed within 270 consecutive calendar days of the notice to proceed date.

The Pierce County Board of Commissioners may select a successful low bidder after evaluation of all bids.

Firms will be selected only after the review and evaluation of the qualification packages received in response to this notice.

Firms shall provide documentation showing a minimum of five 5 years of experience with projects similar in size, scope, and complexity. The EOI package requires a company profile, experience details, project schedules, safety program, resumes, potential subcontractors, anticipated workload, experience modification rating, bonding capacity, and NYS vendor responsibility questionnaire.

Failure to comply with EOI package requirements may render the submission non responsive and subject to rejection. Contacts made to other dormitory authority personnel regarding this procurement may disqualify the offerer.

The estimated cost range for the scope of work is $20,000,000 to $21,000,000.

The contractor shall complete the work within ninety 90 working days of the effective date of city's notice to proceed with construction.

The city will deduct a 5 percent retention from all progress payments.

Contractor guarantees all materials and equipment furnished and work performed for a period of one 1 year from the date of substantial completion is free from all defects due to faulty materials or workmanship.

The award of contract, if made, will be to the lowest responsible bidder as determined solely by the city.

No bid will be accepted from a contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of the business and professions code. Contractors and subcontractors are also required to be registered with the california department of industrial relations dir.

Failure to complete the project on time will result in liquidated damages of five hundred dollars **** a calendar day.
