Work is to be completed within 90 calendar days from the effective date of notice to proceed from the city.

The bidder must be a qualified contractor and registered on SAM. gov. Upon award, proof of current city business license and general liability insurance is required.

Liquidated damages in the amount of **** per day will be assessed on all projects where the completion of work extends beyond the contract expiration date. Failure to execute the contract after acceptance may result in being placed on the city's ineligible contractor list for 90 days.

The bidder, by affixing his/her digital signature, acknowledges that he/she has visited the job site, verified all conditions and locations.

Any attempt by vendors during the proposal process to contact City of St. Joseph personnel may result in disqualification.

The successful proposer agrees to deliver to the designated locations on or before the date as specified in the finalized contract. Failure to deliver on or before the specified date constitutes an event of default by the successful proposer.

CMHA will pay properly submitted invoices in approximately 30 days. Payment shall be contingent upon review and acceptance of the contractors deliverables by CMHA. CMHA may, in its sole discretion, withhold payments claimed by contractor for services rendered if contractor fails to satisfactorily comply with any term or condition of this contract.

Contractor represents and warrants that its services provided for under the terms of this agreement will be of good quality and consistent with the professional skill and care ordinarily provided by professionals performing the same or similar service. If services fail to comply with these warranties, contractor shall either correct such failure or refund the amount of compensation paid.

Contractor shall perform national criminal history checks and 10-panel drug screening tests on the owner and all employees of legal adult age performing work under this contract or coming onto a CMHA property. Prospective employees whose criminal background check discloses a misdemeanor or felony involving crimes of moral turpitude, sexual offenses or harm to persons or property shall not be employed.

Contractor is liable to CMHA for all actual and direct damages caused by contractor's default. CMHA may deduct all or any part of the damages resulting from contractor's default from any part of the price still due on this agreement.

If the contractor does not agree with CMHA's action (e. g. , warning, termination), the contractor shall have 10 days to dispute or protest, in writing, such action.

Contractor's contract may be suspended and/or terminated should a situation occur where an employee is determined to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or if the contractor fails to submit drug screening results as required.

Contracting firm and its principal officer must be able to prove 5 years of continuous work experience, immediately preceding this quote, in the performance of work substantially equivalent to the scope of this project. References must be provided for bid to be considered.

The maintenance, repair or service provider acknowledges that failure to obtain such insurance on behalf of the pnw boces constitutes a material breach of contract and subjects it to liability for damages, indemnification and all other legal remedies available to pnw boces.

A bid shall not be considered for award nor shall any award be made where the noncollusive bidding certification has not been complied with, unless the head of the purchasing unit determines that such disclosure was not made for the purpose of restricting competition.

The city requires a new high quality durable roof with a 30 year warranty that will provide long term trouble free service for staff and users of the fire station 6.

There will be a mandatory information session with respect to this rfp at 10: 00 am on j u l y 1 3 , 2026, outside of fire station 6, 431 willow street, waterbury, ct. attendance and on time sign in at the information session is mandatory.

Those late not attending will not be eligible to submit a proposal.
