Sealed bids due 10/09/2026 at 10:00 AM for furnishing and planting 50 B&B trees. Unit price contract. Mandatory one-year warranty with 100% survival rate. Payment within 30 days of invoice, 10% retainage held until warranty end. Optional pre-bid meeting on 10/02/2026. Bids must include paper original and digital copy on USB. Insurance and licensing required.
All planting, mulching, staking, watering bag installation, initial care, planting records, and invoicing for the 2026 planting shall be complete by December 15, 2026. The planting window extends from award through November 30, 2026.
Payment will be made at the unit prices bid for the trees actually furnished, planted, and accepted. Payment of the non-retained portion of each invoice will be made within thirty (30) days of receipt of a correct and complete invoice.
The contractor guarantees that all planted trees will remain alive and in a healthy, vigorous condition for a period of one (1) year from the date of final acceptance of the planting work by the city.
The city will award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder whose bid best serves the interests of the city, considering conformance of the bid to the specifications set forth herein.
Bidders shall provide a list of not fewer than three (3) references for tree planting projects of similar scope completed within the past three (3) years, with particular weight given to public agencies.
An optional prebid meeting will be held at the date, time, and location shown in section I. Attendance is encouraged but not required.
Failure to submit any required item may render the bid nonresponsive. A bid submitted without both the paper original and the digital copy may be deemed nonresponsive.
