Proposals will be received until noon EST on Monday, October 5, 2026.

The town agrees to make all reasonable efforts to pay to the contractor the sum set forth in the contractors proposal within thirty 30 days of receipt of an invoice detailing the services provided and acceptance from the town of said services.

The contract will be awarded to that proposer deemed by the town manager and/or its designees to have submitted the most advantageous proposal taking into consideration all of the technical proposal criteria and proposers interviews if conducted in addition to the price proposals.

Evaluation of technical proposals will be based on weighted, comparative criteria described in this section, including firm consultant experience.

Inquiries involving procedural or technical matters, and or questions related to the request for proposals shall be submitted in writing to the select boards office and received no later than three 3 business days prior to the time the proposals are due.

Failure to submit documents requested may result in the towns determination that a proposal is nonresponsive unless the town deems such a failure to be a minor informality.

Respondents must submit a brief description of relevant trail assessment, GIS, and natural resource experience.

Bids must be received no later than August 28th at 10 am.

The contractor guarantees that all labor furnished will be competent, the product of such labor will yield only first-class results, materials and equipment will be of good quality, new, and the work will be of good quality, free from faults and defects and in strict conformance with the contract.

The town will award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.

Contractors must be qualified and provide proof of general liability and workers compensation insurance at the state-required minimum level.

Liquidated damages of $1,000 per day will be assessed for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed.

A site walkthrough is highly encouraged and is scheduled for August 12 at 10 am.

The awarded contractor guarantees that all materials incorporated into the work will be new unless otherwise specified or agreed. The contractor agrees to make, at their own expense, any repairs or replacements made necessary by defects in materials or workmanship supplied to them that become evident within one (1) year after the date of the final payment.

Submitter must provide a minimum of three (3) references for whom they have completed contracts for work similar in size and scope to this project within the last five (5) years.

Questions regarding the project must be addressed in writing by 1 PM on July 24.

Any employee found on a worksite without documentation of successful completion of a 10-hour OSHA-approved construction safety and health course shall be subject to immediate removal.
