The
project involves the design and construction of
repairs to the Shima no Ko SAP facility at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. The period of performance is 653 calendar days, divided into design (180 days) and construction (473 days) phases. The contractor is responsible for all field investigations, surveys, design, plant, labor, supervision, materials, equipment, supplies, transportation, third-party services, and incidental related work. The
project requires compliance with various standards and regulations, including US federal, Department of Defense, Air Force, and 18 Wing criteria, as well as applicable Japanese regulatory requirements. The contractor must submit various documents and plans, including a detailed
project schedule, design documents, environmental protection plan (Epp), and AF Form 103 work clearance request. The
project involves abatement of asbestos and lead-based paint (ACM/LBP) and requires sampling and analysis of these materials. The contractor must coordinate with the facility manager and 718th Civil Engineer Squadron (CESCENM) for access to work areas. The contractor is responsible for providing latrines for their personnel. The
project requires a pre-design meeting, design review meetings, pre-final inspection, and final inspection. Construction

The contractor must provide a prominent sign in English and Japanese at the entry control point listing prohibited items.
