Equipment must be new, warranted as new by the manufacturer, and not used for any purpose other than display. Accessories must be certified compatible. Equipment will be subject to inspection and approval by the town prior to payment. The town reserves the right to request supplemental information, including samples, after bids are opened. Payment will be made within 30 days of receipt of a proper billing or delivery, whichever is later. The town is exempt from federal excise tax and Maine sales tax. Bidders must annotate product literature to identify supporting information for each product specification. The town will not accept or pay for damaged goods. The contractor must file claims against carriers for damages. Insurance certificates and copies of policies must be furnished to the purchasing agent prior to beginning work. Workers compensation insurance is required. Liability insurance with specified minimum limits is required. The town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
