Upon inspection and acceptance of the work, the Rutherford County Board of Education School Nutrition Department and/or Career and Technical Education will render payment within thirty (30) days. On larger jobs, partial payments can be arranged.
The warranty period for bidder-provided materials shall be for a period of one year after completion of the installation or within the manufacturer's warranty, whichever is the later period. The performance warranty guarantees all work against defects in workmanship and requires satisfactory correction at no cost within one year after completion of work.
The Rutherford County Board of Education School Nutrition Department intends to award this bid for these services to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder. Regardless of the procurement method used, price is the final determining factor for awarding the contract.
Bidder shall have been in the commercial hood cleaning and maintenance business for a minimum of three years and have available a minimum work force that will allow service technicians at each site while cleaning is taking place. Bidder shall own and have in good repair all equipment necessary to perform basic equipment repair services. No subcontractors.
Failure to complete the cleaning during the specified times will result in a breach of contract. The school system may take actions such as giving written notice of breach requiring remedy within thirty (30) days, suspending payments, setting off damages, or treating the contract as materially breached.
Bidders must call ahead and make appointments with the school nutrition or CTE contact person. Do not bid on locations you have not visited.
Disputes arising from the award of this bid must be submitted in writing, no later than 10 calendar days from the date of the bid award.
Incomplete bids, bids containing irregularities, or bids not in accordance with specifications may be rejected. Failure to provide references or any negative responses received may result in disqualification of the bid.
