The Genesee County Road Commission invites bids for snow & ice control abrasives on an as needed basis. Bids must be submitted by Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 1:00 p. m. Local time. All bids must include the cost of delivery to specified locations. The material must be natural sand, stone sand, or slag sand, treated with calcium chloride. Safety data sheets (SDS) are mandatory. Bids must remain firm for one year from the date of award.
Bids must be received by 1:00 p. m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at the Genesee County Road Commission.
Payment shall be made from supplier's invoice submitted to cover items received and accepted during the billing period, upon final delivery and acceptance.
The bid will be awarded to the responsible, responsive bidder whose bid conforming to this solicitation will be most advantageous to the road commission.
The successful bidder must meet and provide all requirements as outlined in the specifications package contained herein.
In case of default by the contractor, the Genesee County Road Commission may procure the articles or services from other sources and hold the bidder responsible for any excess cost occasioned thereby.
Evidence in the form of samples may be requested if brand is other than specified, and must be received no later than seven days after formal request.
A protest must be submitted in writing within seven calendar days of the date the contract is awarded.
Disqualification may occur due to evidence of collusion, lack of competency, lack of responsibility, or uncompleted work under other contracts.
