Sealed proposals are being accepted for the purchase of firefighter personal protective equipment (PPE). The awarded contractor will supply the equipment on an as-needed basis for a one-year initial contract, with the possibility of a four-year extension if performance is satisfactory. The deadline for submission is May 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Questions can be submitted by May 16, 2025, at 12:00 noon. No faxed or emailed proposals will be accepted. Bids cannot be withdrawn for 90 days after opening. The city reserves the right to award or reject any or all bids, waive technicalities, and award the bid to the vendor that best serves the public interest. MBEs, WBEs, and SBEs are encouraged to apply.

Bid submission deadline is June 10, 2025, 3:30 PM ET. Bid documents are available for download on May 7, 2025. Prequalification is required. Bidders must provide a copy of their biennial prequalification letter from FDEP's Bureau of Design and Construction. The project must be designed and constructed in accordance with green building standards where applicable. Minority business participation is encouraged. ADA accommodations are available. E-Verify system is required. Notice of intent to protest must be filed within 72 hours of bid specifications posting. Failure to file a protest within 10 days of the 72-hour period will constitute a waiver of the right to an administrative hearing.

Sealed bids are requested for the Rutland Rail Gateway Fence Replacement project. Proposals must be submitted to Sara Magro, Purchasing Agent, by mail, hand delivery, or via the city's online portal no later than 4:00 PM on Thursday, June 5th, 2025. Bids will be opened at the regularly scheduled Rutland City Board of Finance meeting at City Hall on Friday, June 6th, 2025 at 3:30 PM. Detailed bid submission instructions are included in the attached scope of work. Bidders must provide proof of insurance, including workers' compensation, employers' liability, commercial general liability, property insurance, and commercial auto liability. The city reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, negotiate with qualified sources, waive any formality, and cancel the request for bids in part or in its entirety. All proposals become the property of the city upon submission. The city insists upon strict compliance with OSHA safety standards and environmental regulations. The contractor is responsible for all restoration work of grass areas disturbed during construction, investigating underground utilities, and providing traffic control. The contractor shall guarantee the work for a period of one year from the date of final acceptance by the city. A walkthrough of the project will be conducted 11 months following the date of final acceptance. Failure to adhere to construction conditions will result in written warnings and potential liquidated damages.
