Tree thinning services Tree thinning from below in ponderosa pine plantation to an average spacing of **** feet. Basal area of residual stand should average 70- 90 square feet per acre with an irregular pattern. No trees greater than 12 dbh shall be cut unless there is evidence of beetles or mistletoe. Mechanically cut and skid trees to landings to be decked or removed from contract area. Mechanically masticate slash less than 5 diameter or chip slash and remove. Timber removal is subject to agreement.

Tree thinning and removal services for fuels reduction The project involves conducting fuels reduction activities, including cutting sawtimber- sized trees and removing material meeting specific tree specifications from the treatment area. Resulting slash will also be treated. The purpose is to reduce fuel loading for public and firefighter safety, improve wildlife habitat, and restore ecological function and resilience. Land management objectives include increasing forest resiliency, age class diversity, promoting vegetation recovery, reducing wildfire risk, and providing wood products.
