PPSD requires a vendor to meet the qualifications and specifications listed below. The vendor has demonstrated experience with youth employment programs. The vendor has experience working with a diverse student population, including multilingual learners and special education students. The vendor has fiscal systems in place to manage student stipends. The vendor is able to establish and maintain a fiduciary duty to student participants by providing a clear enrollment system and the ability to problemsolve if issues arise the vendor is able to provide a midpoint and closing report to PPSD’s CTE office and fiscal staff on the appropriate and timely distribution of payments. The vendor can demonstrate the ability to provide clear communication to district officials and families from diverse racial and linguistic backgrounds.
Failure to deliver within the time quoted or failure to meet specifications may result in default in accordance with the general specifications.
Bids should include a sample student enrollment packet for review.
Bid proposals that are not present in the Providence Public Schools Purchasing Department at the time of opening for whatever cause will be deemed to be late and will not be considered. Postmarks shall not be considered proof of timely submission.
