The government will not reimburse the contractor for value added tax (VAT). All taxable supplies, goods, and services to the US Embassy in Kenya are exempt from VAT. Invoices must be submitted without a tax element (indicate 0 VAT). Payment will be made in local currency by electronic funds transfer (EFT) within 30 days after receipt of the proper invoice. The contract is a firm fixed-price purchase order. The period of performance is from October 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026 (8 months). The contractor will be paid only for services rendered and deliverables accepted by the contracting officer's representative (COR). The COR will review deliverables within 10 business days. Nonconforming work must be corrected at no additional cost. Deliverables will be accepted only if they meet the criteria in section 5.
