The City of Miami Beach is seeking qualified contractors for the installation of six speed feedback signs on new aluminum poles along the beachwalk. The scope of work includes furnishing and installing poles, mounting signs, programming them, and restoring disturbed areas. The city will provide the speed feedback signs. Bids are due by 3:00 PM ET on June 2, 2026. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on May 27, 2026, via Microsoft Teams. A site visit is not applicable. Questions must be submitted by 10:00 AM ET on May 29, 2026, to ***@***. *. * requirements include being a Florida certified or Miami-Dade registered general contractor and having at least two similar projects completed in the last five years. Bidders must submit bids electronically through BidNet Direct. A bid bond of 5% of the total base bid amount is required. The contract duration for substantial completion is 180 days, and for final completion is 30 days. Liquidated damages apply for failure to achieve substantial or final completion.
The deadline for submittal of bids is 3:00 PM ET, on June 2, 2026. Bidders are cautioned that late bids cannot be submitted.
Award will be made solely at the discretion of the City to the responsive, responsible respondents offering the lowest cost meeting specifications.
Bidder shall be a State of Florida certified licensed general contractor or Miami-Dade County registered licensed general contractor. Bidder and/or its principal must have been awarded a minimum of two projects of similar scope and budget within the last five years, one of which must be completed and the second may be ongoing.
Liquidated damages for failure to achieve substantial completion are $980/day, and for failure to achieve final completion are $980/day.
A site visit will not be held.
The deadline for submittal of questions is 10:00 AM ET on May 29, 2026.
Bidders that do not comply with minimum requirements shall be deemed nonresponsive and shall not have its bid considered. Failure to submit required documents by the deadline shall result in the bid being deemed nonresponsive.
The estimated budget for this project is $60,000.
