The project involves improving the soccer complex pavilion by replacing the roof and trim/fascia. A mandatory pre-bid meeting/walkthrough is scheduled for August 11 at 10:00 a. m. Bids must be received by 2:00 p. m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. Proposals require a bid bond of at least 5% of the bid amount. Prevailing wages are required. The city reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
Sealed proposals will be received by the city of east lansing department of parks, recreation and arts, up to 2: 00 p. m. , tuesday, august 25, 2026
Payments based on progress estimates will be made on or about the fifteenth 15th of each month.
The contractor shall furnish the city with a maintenance and guarantee bond to correct any defects due to faulty materials or workmanship which appear in the work within one year from the date of final acceptance by the city.
Upon the request of the city, bidders shall be prepared to furnish sufficient evidence as to their qualifications to perform the project work, such as record of past performances including references, equipment, and personnel available, and such other pertinent and material facts as may be desirable.
If the successful bidder fails to furnish satisfactory bonds and insurance within ten 10 days after notice of award, such guarantee shall be forfeited to the city as liquidated damages.
A mandatory prebid meeting walkthrough will be held at 10: 00 a. m. on tuesday, august 11 at the east lansing soccer complex, **** coleman road.
The reasons for the disqualification of a bidder and the rejection of their proposal may include, but are not limited to, the following: a. more than one proposal for the same work from an individual, firm, partnership, or corporation under the same or different names.
