Annual contract for turf fertilizer purchase. Quotes are due by July 9, 2026, 3:00 PM EST. Prices quoted must be F. O. B. destination, including all transportation costs. Contract term is October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, with two one-year renewal options. Delivery lead time must be indicated in calendar days. Failure to meet delivery dates may result in liability for the difference in cost. Charlotte County is exempt from federal excise and state sales taxes. Award will be to the lowest responsive, responsible quoter, with delivery time as a secondary consideration. Electronic quotes are accepted at www. ***. *. *
Successful quoters will be held to delivery dates. All quotes will indicate the lead time required for the established quantities to be delivered, which shall be expressed in calendar days.
All invoices will be paid in accordance with the Florida Prompt Payment Act ****.
Award of this quote shall be to the lowest responsive, responsible quoter meeting or exceeding the requirements of the specifications set forth herein. Another consideration of award may be delivery time.
The county reserves the right to reject the quote of any quoter who has previously failed to perform properly, or on time, contracts of similar nature or who is not in a position to satisfactorily perform the contract.
Failure to meet delivery or leadtime necessitating Charlotte County to make purchases from other sources shall cause successful quoter to be held liable for the difference of cost between awarded quote price and the cost of the required purchase from another source.
If, after the due date and time, the lowest quoter is deemed nonresponsible by the county, such quoter shall receive written notice from the county of this determination. The quoter shall have five 5 business days from the date of this notice to dispute the determination and to provide to the county any additional information it deems relevant regarding the quoter's responsibility.
Pursuant to section **** of the Florida Statutes, Charlotte County may, at its sole option, terminate any agreement in any amount if the contractor is found to have been placed on the scrutinized companies that boycott Israel list, or is engaged in a boycott of Israel.
