The Charter Township of Orion is seeking proposals for tennis court repairs at Jesse Decker Park. The project includes surface preparation, crack repair, acrylic resurfacing, restriping for tennis and pickleball courts, and new net installation. Proposals are due by 3:00 PM on July 9, 2026. The award will be based on price, quality, contractor qualifications, and other factors. Contractors must submit references and be prepared for potential equipment inspection. Color samples for the court surface must be submitted for approval prior to installation.
Proposals are due by 3:00 p. m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026. Proposals received after the above cited time will be considered a late bid and are not acceptable.
The evaluation criteria include warranty. Proposals will be evaluated based upon, but not limited to the following: price, experience with similar projects, references, project schedule, and warranty.
The award will be based on the most advantageous proposal regarding price, quality of service, contractor qualifications and capabilities, and other factors. If a proposal is selected, it will be the most advantageous regarding price, quality of service, the contractors qualifications and capabilities to provide the specified service, and other factors that the Charter Township of Orion may consider.
Contractors must demonstrate qualifications, years in business, and experience in providing similar services for the public sector, along with at least three references for similar projects completed within the past five years. Contractors must include all of the following information: a. Each bidder is responsible for visiting the proposed work sites to understand existing conditions.
