Sealed bids are requested for the 2026 Trowbridge sanitary, water, and road reconstruction project. The anticipated substantial completion date is November 1, 2026, and final completion by November 30, 2026.
Progress payments will be made approximately 35 days after submittal of pay requests, based on the progress of the work as decided by the engineer.
A maintenance and guarantee bond is required for a period of two years from the date of final estimate payment, covering defects due to improper materials, defective equipment, or workmanship.
The owner and engineer will assess bids based on cost effectiveness, past project experience, and ability to complete the project within the timeframe.
Bidders must be prepared to submit written evidence of financial data, previous experience, and authority to conduct business in the jurisdiction within five days of request.
Contractor shall pay the owner $500 for each day that expires after the specified completion date as liquidated damages.
Before submitting a bid, each bidder must visit the site to familiarize itself with local conditions that may affect cost, progress, or performance of the work.
Failure to submit requested qualification data within five days shall give the owner and engineer the right to reject the contractor's bid.
