The City of Inkster is seeking proposals for janitorial and custodial cleaning services for the Booker Dozier Recreation Center. A mandatory walkthrough is scheduled for June 1, 2026. Questions are due by June 3, 2026, and proposals are due by June 8, 2026, at 4:00 PM. The contract will be for one year with two one-year renewal options. The contractor must provide all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, and cleaning products. The selected contractor should have the capacity to complete initial cleaning by July 6, 2026. Proposals must include a company profile, references, staffing plan, work plan, equipment list, cleaning product list with SDS, background screening process confirmation, proof of insurance, pricing form, and any exceptions to the RFP requirements. Award will be made to the best value proposer, not necessarily the lowest price.
The proposal due date and time is Monday, June 8, 2026, by 4:00 PM.
Award may be made to the lowest responsive and responsible proposer, the best value proposer, or the proposer determined to be in the best interest of the city.
To be considered for award, proposers should demonstrate the ability to successfully perform janitorial services of similar scope and complexity, including a satisfactory record of past performance and at least three references for similar work performed within the last three years.
Repeated callbacks, failure to respond, or failure to correct deficiencies may result in invoice deductions, corrective action, or termination of the contract.
A mandatory walkthrough of the Booker Dozier Recreation Center is required prior to proposal submission, scheduled for Monday, June 1, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
The city may reject proposals that are incomplete, late, unsigned, or otherwise nonresponsive. Failure to attend the mandatory walkthrough may result in proposal rejection.
