Contractor shall complete all work contained in the construction documents within 90 working days.

The contractor shall make all necessary repairs and replacements to remedy defects due to faulty materials or workmanship for one year following the date of acceptance of the work.

The contract will be awarded to the responsive, responsible bidder meeting the specifications and requirements of the bid, having the lowest bid and satisfactory qualifications and performance record.

The contractor shall possess a valid California contractors class C32, parking and highway improvement contract license at the time this contract is awarded and shall maintain a current and valid license throughout the duration of the project.

Liquidated damages are set forth in the contract documents to be deducted from any monies due the contractor for late completion of the work.

The contractor or producer of all materials to be used in the work for testing shall submit representative preliminary samples of the character and quality prescribed for examination as desired by the city contract representative.

Telephone inquiries and direct contact with city staff other than the designated project contact will not be accepted and may be grounds for disqualification.

The probable construction cost is estimated to be: 450,****.

Delivery shall be made within the time stated by the bidder and shall not exceed 15 calendar days from the date originally stated by bidder.

The city of tulare agrees to pay the net bid amount thirty 30 days after delivery.

The availability and timely delivery 7 days of replacement parts and factoryauthorized service shall be certified to by the vendor as a condition of bid award.

The award of the contract, if it is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder whose proposal complies with all the requirements prescribed.

The city reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder who best complies with the bid specifications as determined by the bid analysis.

The city will assess one hundred dollars **** liquidated damages for each day that delivery of the industrial headwork submersible pump replacement is delayed beyond the bidders stated delivery time.

Any bid received for the industrial headwork submersible pump replacement that does not contain a bid for the additional equipment equivalent will be rejected.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 10:00 am at the City of Tulare Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Inquiries regarding plans, specifications, or estimates must be communicated in writing by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, July 28th, 2026.

The engineer's opinion of probable construction cost is: $250,000.

The contractor shall forfeit as penalty to the city of tulare fifty dollars **** for each laborer, workman or mechanic employed for each calendar day or portion thereof, if such laborer, workman or mechanic is paid less than the general prevailing rate of wages.

A nonmandatory prebid meeting will be held on tuesday, june 30, 2026, at 2:00 pm to entertain questions and to provide general project information. The meeting will be held at tulare city hall, 411 e. kern ave. tulare, california, ****.

Inquiries regarding the plans, specifications, or estimate must be communicated as a bidder inquiry in writing by 5:00 pm on tuesday, july 7, 2026.

Failure to possess the specified licenses at the time the bid is submitted shall render the bid nonresponsive.
