Project to furnish and install a communications cabinet with electrical power and air conditioning at County Fire Station #25. Work includes an equipment enclosure with cooling, electrical connection, and conduit. Bid proposals are due July 14, 2026. A nonmandatory prebid meeting is scheduled for June 30, 2026. The estimated construction cost is $50,000. Contractor must possess a valid California Class B license and a City of Tulare business license. Work completion is required within 60 working days.
Contractor shall complete all work contained in the construction documents within 60 working days.
The successful bidder shall furnish the payment bond, performance bond, a maintenancewarranty bond, workers compensation certificate, and all other insurance requirements identified in the bidcontract document.
The award of the contract, if it be awarded, shall be made to the responsive, responsible bidder meeting the specifications and requirements of the bid, having the lowest bid and satisfactory qualifications and performance record as determined by the city contract representative.
Pursuant to california public contract code section ****, the contractor shall possess a valid california contractors class b, general contractor license at the time this contract is awarded and shall maintain a current and valid license throughout the duration of the project.
The contractor shall forfeit as penalty to the city of tulare fifty dollars **** for each laborer, workman or mechanic employed for each calendar day or portion thereof, if such laborer, workman or mechanic is paid less than the general prevailing rate of wages.
A nonmandatory prebid meeting will be held on tuesday, june 30, 2026, at 2:00 pm to entertain questions and to provide general project information. The meeting will be held at tulare city hall, 411 e. kern ave. tulare, california, ****.
Inquiries regarding the plans, specifications, or estimate must be communicated as a bidder inquiry in writing by 5:00 pm on tuesday, july 7, 2026.
Failure to possess the specified licenses at the time the bid is submitted shall render the bid nonresponsive.
The probable construction cost is estimated to be: $50,000.
