The El Paso County is soliciting bids for the
construction of a concrete trail in Widefield Community
Park. The project includes constructing an eight-foot-wide concrete trail, installing ADA-compliant ramps, and crosswalks. Responses must be submitted electronically through the Rocky Mountain e-purchasing system by 1:00 PM MT on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. A pre-bid meeting is recommended on May 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the project site. The awarded contract is a working day contract, anticipated to begin on approximately June 15, 2025, and must be completed by September 1, 2025. The contract is subject to Davis-Bacon requirements and federal funding through a HUD Community Development Block Grant. Additional documents, including a cover sheet, executive summary, specifications, special terms and conditions, general terms and conditions, response submittal requirements, and attachments are required. The contractor must have a minimum of five years of experience in concrete paving work and have worked on at least three similar projects in the past five years. The contractor must provide documentation of project experience. The county reserves the right to alter the method of award if it results in cost savings. The successful contractor will be required to attend a post-award meeting. The county is exempt from paying state or local sales taxes. The contractor must comply with all applicable federal laws, regulations, and requirements, including the Davis-Bacon Act, and the Byrd Anti-Lobbying Amendment. The contractor must also provide a bid bond and a performance bond. The contractor must obtain all required permits, licenses, and inspection fees. The contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for project performance. The county will provide access to Trimble eBuilder software for project management.
