Bids are due August 25, 2026, at 1:00 PM for the installation of charging infrastructure for battery-electric buses at the GoDurham bus operations and maintenance facility. The scope includes installation of chargers, conduit, wire, equipment pads, switchboards, and supporting site work, as well as coordination with Duke Energy. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for August 4, 2026, at 1:00 PM, with a site visit to follow. Plans and specifications are available online. All inquiries must be submitted in writing by August 7, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Bidders must be licensed general contractors in North Carolina. Mandatory forms include bid forms, non-collusion affidavit, safety evaluation, contractor qualifications, bid bond, and FTA clauses. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The contract completion time is 120 calendar days.
