The vendor agrees to complete upfitting and deliver patrol-ready vehicles within 90 days of contract award or notification of vehicle availability. A minimum twelve-month warranty on all work is required, with major components and subassemblies warranted by their manufacturers. The contractor will provide a minimum twelve 12 month warranty on all work. Major components and subassemblies shall be warrantied through their respective manufacturers. In the event a defect in installation workmanship is discovered following delivery of a vehicle at its destination, the contractor shall itself, or subcontract with a company in that geographic area, to make repairs and shall assume financial responsibility for all costs related to the repair.
DRLE retains the right to conduct onsite inspections of the upfitted vehicles at the vendors location anytime prior to delivery.
The service would like to enter into a contract for up to $100,000 of emergency vehicle upfitting and decommissioning work.
