Sealed bids are invited for water main line replacements and extensions at scattered locations throughout Orleans Parish. Proposals are due on July 8, 2026, at 11:00 a. m. Central Time. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on June 16, 2026. Inquiries must be directed to Connor Metcalf at ***@***. *. * by June 17, 2026. Bids received after the deadline will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened on July 8, 2026, at 11:30 a. m. Bid documents are available electronically. Bidders must hold required licenses and have examined all bidding documents, including site conditions. A bid security of 5% is required. The contract will be awarded based on the total base bid, considering alternates and unit prices. The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Proposals are due on July 8, 2026, at 11:00 a. m. Central Time. Any bids received after the specified time will be rejected.
Applicable state and local sales and use taxes for purchase of materials and supplies furnished under this contract shall be paid by the contractor. Such taxes shall be included in the lump sum bid for the work of this contract.
In evaluating bids, owner will consider whether or not the bids comply with the prescribed requirements, and such alternates, unit prices, and other data, as may be requested in the bid form or prior to the notice of award.
In order to perform public work, bidder and its subcontractors, prior to award of contract or as otherwise required by the jurisdiction, shall hold or obtain such licenses as required by state statutes, and federal and local laws and regulations.
In case of delay in the completion of the contract beyond the contract time of completion as determined by the board hereby agree to pay, as liquidated damages, the sum of two thousand dollars $2,**** for each calendar day of such delay, which liquidated damages shall become due by the mere elapsing of the delay without the necessity of putting in default.
It is responsibility of each bidder before submitting a bid to visit the site to become familiar with the general, local, and site conditions that may affect cost, progress, and performance of the work.
The deadline for inquiries is on June 17, 2026, at 5:00 p. m. Central Time.
Bid envelopes received with no contractor license number will not be opened and will automatically be rejected and considered nonresponsive.
