The City of Moorpark seeks a qualified firm to provide collection, transportation, recycling, and lawful disposal services for e-waste and u-waste during three annual events (January, May, September). Submittals are due September 30, 2026, at 4:00 p. m. Contractors must maintain accurate records for CalRecycle Form 303 reporting. The initial agreement term is five years, with an option for two additional years. Payment is made monthly within 30 days of receipt of the invoice.
The contractor shall remain on site and available until 2:00 p. m. to accept ewaste and uwaste from late arrivals without appointments, as directed by the city.
The city agrees to pay contractor monthly, in accordance with the payment rates and terms and the schedule of payment as set forth in exhibit, based upon actual time spent on the above tasks.
Proposals will be evaluated on the following criteria: responsiveness to the requirements, experience and completion of similar services, overall quality of the proposal, satisfaction of previous clients, proposed cost to provide services.
Proposers must describe their qualifications and experience as an electronic waste and universal waste collector and recycler, and provide their CEWID.
If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time period required, contractor shall forfeit and pay to the city, as liquidated damages, the sum of dollars per day for each calendar day the work, or portion thereof, remains uncompleted.
All questions, requests for clarification, or requests for interpretation concerning any administrative, technical, contractual, or other provision of this rfp shall be submitted in writing to roger pichardo, program manager, at ***@***. *. *, and must be received no later than 4 p. m. on september 22, 2026.
A violation of this no contact policy may constitute grounds for rejection or disqualification of a proposal, in the city's discretion and to the extent permitted by applicable law.
