The City of Dacono is seeking proposals for preliminary and final engineering design for State Highway 52 intersection improvements. The project includes civil and roadway design, traffic engineering, stormwater and drainage improvements, utilities engineering, right-of-way plan development, geotechnical and pavement engineering, hydraulic engineering, and environmental clearances. Proposals are due by September 11, 2026. Pricing should not be included in the proposal; fees will be negotiated with the most qualified professional. The City intends to use the selected professional for construction-associated tasks through a separate work order.
Proposals must be received by 5:00 p. m. MT, on Friday, September 11, 2026.
The contractor shall submit monthly invoices, and the city shall pay within thirty (30) days of receipt, unless services or documentation are unsatisfactory. Payments made after thirty (30) days may be assessed an interest charge of one percent (1%) per month.
Selection will be based on the proposal deemed to be the best value to the city, considering qualification, scope of proposal and results, assigned personnel, firm capability, and DBE participation.
Respondents must be qualified vendors with expertise and experience necessary to complete the project on time and within budget. The proposal should demonstrate an understanding of the project objectives and the methodology to be used.
Questions must be received in writing by 5:00 p. m. MT on Friday, August 21, 2026.
Proposals that do not conform to page limits, embedded documents, or do not include all required information may be rejected. Direct or indirect contact with city council members, staff, or media after RFP release, except in city-sponsored presentations, is grounds for disqualification.
