The services required include preliminary and detailed design, as well as optional construction support services for the EIN subproject, which is part of the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC). The project involves designing infrastructure systems, structures, and components to support a new electron injector complex, including a 750 MeV electron linear accelerator (linac) and a rapid cycling synchrotron (RCS). The AE will be responsible for developing designs in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, codes, and standards, with a focus on sustainable design principles. The scope includes site surveys, engineering, value engineering, preparation of electronic drawings, specifications, reports, and cost estimates. The AE must also coordinate with BNL project teams, construction managers, and commissioning agents. The target construction budget is $271 million.
