This is a notice of intent to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price contract for inplace reconditioning and maintenance repair services of 500kw Ships Service Motor Generator (SSMG) sets for SSBN 737. The period of performance is estimated from June 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026. The contractor must have documented NAVSEA approval to perform this work. The period of performance is estimated to be from June 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026. The contractor work to perform inplace reconditioning and maintenance services of the first of two 500kw SSMG sets shall start and conclude within the first of two three-week periods. Upon conclusion of inplace contractor work on the first of two 500kw SSMG sets, the work shall then pause for approximately one week to enable sufficient time to permit ships forces scheduled maintenance and retest actions to restore the first of two 500kw SSMG sets to operation. Upon operational restoration of the first of two 500kw SSMG sets, the inplace contractor work to perform inplace reconditioning and maintenance services of the second of two 500kw SSMG sets shall start and conclude within the second of two three-week periods.
The government will award a firm-fixed-price contract.
Documented proof of the contractor's NAVSEA approval shall be provided at solicitation with the proposal for technical review and consideration. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award.
