Florence County, South Carolina is seeking bids for 2,347 tons of MBC stone for Hollyberry Lane. Bids are due June 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM EST. Questions are due June 22, 2026, at 4:00 PM EST. Bids can be submitted electronically via BidNet Direct or as hardcopy sealed bids. The stone must meet SC DOT Table **** specifications. Minimum mandatory requirements include being in business for at least 3 years, providing 3 similar project references, and having workers' compensation and general liability insurance. The award will be based on the total price for all sites as one entity. Liquidated damages of **** per day apply for delays. Bids must be received by Florence County Procurement Office no later than June 29, 2026, at 10:00 a. m. EST. The contractor has until October 30, 2026, to complete the project.
Payment will be based on weight tickets. Florence County is not exempt from sales tax.
Contracts will be awarded to the bidder whose bid appears to serve the best interest of the owner. Florence County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
