Sodium Hydroxide Government Bids & RFPs

The bid proposals will be received by the City of Wilson Purchasing Manager until 2:00 p. m. , Monday, June 1, 2026. The initial contract period shall run from 7/1/26 to 6/30/27.

Payment terms are net not later than 30 days after receipt of a correct invoice or acceptance of goods, whichever is later.

All qualified proposals bids will be evaluated and award made to firms whose proposal bid is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Wilson, all factors considered. Bids shall be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible bidder, taking into consideration adherence to specifications, quality, performance, the time of delivery, technical support, past performance and other relevant factors.

All qualified proposals bids will be evaluated and award made to firms whose proposal bid is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Wilson, all factors considered.

In case of default by the vendor, the City of Wilson may procure the articles or services from other sources and hold the vendor responsible for any excess cost occasioned thereby.

Questions about this bid shall be emailed to ***@***. *. * with **** water chemicals in the email subject for a response. An addendum will be posted if questions are received that are considered relevant to this bid. Questions are due no later than 5/26/26 by 5:00 pm.

Late bids will not be considered. The City of Wilson reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all offers if determined in its best interest.

The bid opening is scheduled for June 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM CT. The contract term will be one year, with a one-year option, commencing upon execution of the contract and issuance of a notice to proceed.

The bid notice states that the city will award purchase orders and contracts to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.

The bidder must have operated continuously for a minimum of five years as an established firm in providing 50 liquid caustic soda solution and must submit proof of the required experience with the bid.

If you are a prospective bidder and become aware of a deficiency before the bid due date, you must notify the city in writing no later than five days before the due date. After the bid due date, you must file a written notice of intent to protest within five calendar days of knowing the facts, and file the written protest within seven calendar days of notifying the city of your intent to protest.

Bidders may be disqualified and/or have their bid rejected for reasons including collusion, litigation against the city, arrears on an existing contract, lack of financial stability, failure to perform under previous contracts, failure to use city-approved forms, failure to adhere to RFB provisions, failure to submit the bid in the specified format or before the deadline, failure to adhere to ethical principles, failure to provide a cost summary, bids from debarred or suspended bidders, failure to acknowledge addenda, or failure to provide unit pricing.

The vendor shall make delivery within two full working days of a request.

The city reserves the right to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the city of Barre, even if it isn't the lowest bid.

The vendor must demonstrate their sodium hydroxide is currently used at least in three other potable water treatment facilities, and their hydrofluorosilicic acid is currently used at least in three other potable water treatment facilities.

One bag of American Cyanamid Magnifloc 985N nonionic shall be supplied to the city, at the expense of the vendor, for trial purposes.
