The US Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) requires a ballast tamper attachment for an excavator. The attachment must be compatible with a Cat model 305 excavator, have a 270-degree rotation system or be compatible with tiltrotator coupler systems, replaceable tamping tines, aux circuit flow not exceeding 21 gpm, aux circuit pressure not exceeding **** psi, weight less than **** lbs, include a tamper stand, squeeze cylinder not exceeding **** psi, and include vibrating units. Shipping costs must be included in the quote, and installation support is required. Delivery must be made within 30 days of the award date. The solicitation is a request for quote (RFQ) with the intent to award as a simplified acquisition. The requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. The California High-Speed Rail Authority is issuing a Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) for the delivery of operating segments. Respondents interested in participating in one or more aspects of the project are invited to submit expressions of interest (EOI) by July 28, 2025. Questions regarding the RFEI may be submitted by July 21, 2025. The authority intends to conduct one-on-one meetings with respondents in August 2025 to discuss and ask questions about the EOIs. Participation in this RFEI is not required for participation in a future procurement.
