The project involves replacing wood spillway boxes at the Caw Caw Interpretive Center. The deadline for proposals is January 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM ET. The undersigned understands that should he fail to substantially complete work under thiscontract within the time specified hereinbefore, or such later date as may result from an authorized extension of time, he will pay to owner, as liquidated damages, the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars **** for each succeedingcalendar day, saturdays, sundays and holidays included, that the terms of the contract remain unfulfilled, which sum isagreed upon as the proper measure of liquidated damages which owner will sustain per diem by failure of undersignedto complete the work by the time stipulated, and this sum is not to be construed as, in any sense, a penalty.
