Bids are invited for the River Road Flushing Drainage Improvement Project. The work includes construction of drainage improvements, installation of a fire hydrant, waterline appurtenances, storm drainage piping, manholes, site grading, demolition, culvert work, erosion control, traffic control, utility coordination, and site restoration. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for June 11, 2026. Bids are due by 3:00 PM local time on June 24, 2026, and must be submitted electronically via www. ***. *. * bids will not be considered. The City of Durango reserves the right to reject any or all bids. A bid bond of 5% of the total bid amount is required. The contractor must guarantee workmanship and materials for one year. The project completion is scheduled for October 1, 2026, with liquidated damages of $1,500 per day for delays.

Should the contractor fail to complete the work within the contract time, the contractor shall pay the city as liquidated damages, and not as a penalty, the sum of $1,**** for each consecutive calendar day the project remains incomplete.

Questions must be submitted via the Rocky Mountain e-Purchasing system website by June 15, 2026, 3:00 PM local time. Questions received after the deadline may not be accepted.
Any bid that fails to conform to the essential requirements of the invitation for bid will be rejected. Bids shall be rejected when the bidder imposes conditions that would modify requirements of the invitation or limit the bidders liability to the city.
