The bid submission deadline is July 30, 2026.

The offer due date is July 27, 2026, at 17:00 hrs local time.

Payment will be made by the Financial Management Officer, American Embassy Kathmandu. Invoices should be submitted to the office identified in block 18b of the **** Added Tax (VAT) should be shown as a separate item on invoices.

Award will be made to the lowest priced, acceptable, responsible offeror.

Offerors must provide proof of SAM registration, demonstrate prior experience with relevant past performance information and references, and provide evidence of necessary personnel, equipment, and financial resources. They must also address their plan to obtain local licenses and permits.

A site visit is mandatory and will be held on June 15, 2026, at 10:00 am local time at Phora Durbar, Kantipath. Prospective offerors should contact ***@***. *. * for additional information or to arrange entry.

Offers that are unreasonably low or high in price may be rejected. Failure to comply with solicitation terms, including technical information requirements, can lead to disqualification.

The work shall be substantially completed within ninety 90 calendar days after the date when the contract time commences to run, and finally completed within one hundred twenty 120 calendar days.

A payment schedule, based on mutually agreed-upon deliverables, may be developed with the awarded contractor. Payments will be made utilizing the City's P-Card (Mastercard or Visa).

The proposed lighting system shall include a minimum manufacturer warranty period of five 5 years from the date of installation acceptance by the City.

Proposers must be in the business of providing exterior and outdoor architectural lighting systems, possess sufficient financial capacity, technical support capabilities, and have successfully completed at least three 3 similar projects in the last ten 10 years with a contract value of at least $600,000.

Failure of the successful proposer to execute a contract, provide a performance bond, and furnish evidence of appropriate insurance coverage within thirty 30 days after written notice of award shall be just cause for annulment of the award and forfeiture of the proposal security.

A pre-proposal conference and site visit are scheduled for Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 10:00 am at the Fort Lauderdale Aquatics Complex. Attendance is strongly suggested.

Any proposer not recommended for award may follow the protest procedure within five 5 days after a notice of intent to award is posted.

The City reserves the right to disqualify a proposer during any phase of the competitive solicitation process and terminate for cause any resulting contract upon evidence of collusion or other illegal practices.
