The City of Austin is seeking wireless telemetry equipment. Quotes must meet or exceed city specifications and be submitted on an FOB destination basis. The city is exempt from federal excise and state sales tax. Offers are due by June 18, 2026. The contract will be awarded to the lowest offer meeting minimum requirements. The contractor must have at least three years of experience and be a manufacturer, authorized dealer, or supplier. Equipment must be ruggedized, weatherproof (IP65), and include LTE-M and NB-IoT capabilities. A cloud-based monitoring platform with real-time data visualization, alerting, and reporting is required. Cybersecurity protections are mandatory. Delivery is to **** S. 1st Street, Austin, Texas ****, Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. Invoices should be emailed to awlogisticssc@austintexas. gov.
All orders must be shipped completely unless arrangements for partial shipments are made in advance. The contractor shall notify the city within five 5 business days of becoming aware of any anticipated delays impacting delivery.
Payments shall be paid to contractor within thirty 30 days contingent upon the application of payment discounts, from date of receipt by the City's authorized contact of properly documented invoices, and on the condition that the contractor has delivered the goods and/or performed the services to the satisfaction of the City.
Warranty services shall include diagnosis and troubleshooting, repair or replacement of defective equipment, firmware or software updates, and configuration support. Repaired or replaced equipment shall be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or ninety 90 days, whichever is longer.
Award will be made to the lowest offer meeting any minimum requirements set forth in the solicitation. The city may compare quotes based on the prices for individual line items, the prices for categories of line items, the aggregate price, or other award basis that is most advantageous to the city.
The contractor shall have a minimum of three 3 years of experience providing wireless telemetry or industrial monitoring systems of similar size and complexity. The contractor shall be a manufacturer, an authorized dealer/reseller, or a supplier of the products offered and have and operate a full-time, permanent business address.
If delivery of conforming goods or performance of conforming services is not completed by the times promised, the City reserves the right to cancel this contract, to reject such goods or services in whole or in part on reasonable notice to contractor and/or to purchase substitute goods or services elsewhere and charge contractor with any loss incurred by the City.
Offerors shall notify the person listed on the cover sheet in writing of any omissions, ambiguities, inconsistencies or errors in the solicitation prior to the offer due date and time.
Offerors that do not check the box indicating their compliance with the nondiscrimination and nonretaliation certification shall be determined nonresponsive. Offerors that have been suspended or debarred from contracting with the US federal government, any state or local government, as of the submission date of their offer, are not sufficiently responsible to contract with the City.
