Dam Rehabilitation Project Construction of a reinforced concrete auxiliary spillway with two 8 feet by 16 feet precast concrete culverts, reinforced concrete stepped chute, reinforced concrete stilling basin, reinforced concrete floodwall with concrete cutoff, rockfill placement, rockfill stability berm, new lowlevel drawdown valve, replacement of existing low level drawdown valve, remediation of concrete cracking and seepage in existing principal spillway culvert, installation of new raw water intake lines, site preparation, erosion and sedimentation control, slope construction and protection, construction access, selective demolition, earthwork, temporary shoring, traffic control and maintenance, storm drainage, site grading and restoration work, demolition of existing storm sewer infrastructure, raw water lines, concrete ditches, existing valves and operators at the intake structure, partial demolition of the principal spillway culvert and wingwalls, abandonment of existing embankment piezometers.

Entire Official Bid Document and Bid Bond ( if required) should be combined as one PDF and uploaded The Base BID Work shall include construction of a reinforced concrete auxiliary spillway with two, 8 feet by 16 feet, precast concrete culverts through the dam crest to serve as the spillway inlet with a reinforced concrete stepped chute along the downstream slope that discharges into a reinforced concrete stilling basin at the toe of the dam. A reinforced concrete floodwall with concrete cutoff shall be constructed along the upstream crest of the dam along KY- 555 with rockfill placed along the upstream slope of the dam. A rockfill stability berm shall be constructed along the downstream slope. The BASE BID Work further includes a new low- level drawdown valve in the dry well of the riser structure, replacement of the existing low level drawdown valve, and remediation of concrete cracking and seepage in the existing principal spillway culvert. In addition, the City of Springfields raw water intake will be abandoned and new raw water intake lines installed within the principal spillway culvert. A Contractor designed Water Diversion Plan is required. The BASE BID Work will also consist of site preparation, erosion and sedimentation control, slope construction and protection, construction access, selective demolition, earthwork, temporary shoring, traffic control and maintenance, storm drainage, and site grading and restoration work. The restrooms will have updated finishes and the mens side will include the demolition and reconstruction of new showers and drying areas and adding an ADA accessible shower. The project includes repurposing space for a new lactation room. Most interior doors in the building are to be replaced with new doors, and new door hardware. Interior finishes include new ceilings, wall paint, and flooring. New resinous flooring, and carpet will be included. Installation of additional OCIE storage lockers is included in the project. MEP scope of this project includes major renovations of the building systems. Replacing plumbing DWV and water line piping as well as replacing plumbing fixtures. All HVAC systems and related infrastructure are to be replaced. Lighting will be replaced with new LED, electrical distribution systems modified to accommodate new layouts and equipment, new cable trays and cable will be installed, all existing cables will be replaced, wireless access point will be installed in all areas, and the life safety systems will be replaced.
